The project scope is significant because it informs the project team about the tasks and deliverables, discussions, and communication techniques that will be employed (Clarizen, 2021). The project team, stakeholders, and other employees are more likely to align with the project objective with the help of project scope, which also helps to get them on the same page and helps the project team to optimum utilization of resources. The purpose of this project is to build a new mansion in Vancouver, Canada on 10,000 square feet of land. The project has a 1.6-year timeframe and a budget of $30,00,000. We may use a variety of subcontractors to execute the project, such as plumbers, electricians, landscapers, painters, and so on. We will use cutting-edge technologies as well as high-quality construction materials and standards in this project. Project Purpose The project’s primary purpose is to meet the demands and expectations of the client. As part of the project, the customer requested a two-story mansion in Vancouver. A variety of contractors will assist in the project’s completion, including plumbers who will install pipes and other plumbing materials needed in water distribution, electricians who will handle wiring and other electrical work, painters who will paint the mansion, and so on. Because there are several possibilities for customer requests for changes in the project, we will adopt the agile methodology in this project. With an agile strategy, we can incorporate client feedback at every stage, such as after painting a room, if the client requests a different color, we will alter the color (Project Management Institute, 2017). Basically, consumer feedback will be obtained at each stage to obtain the full client satisfaction rate. To attain a high level of efficiency, we will first break down the project task into chunks and split the tasks among the subcontractors. As a result of this method, we will be able to prevent budget overruns and project delays. Project Deliverables The mansion will have two floors, with three bedrooms linked to washrooms on each floor. There will be one large ground/lawn and a swimming pool for the enjoyment. Dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, oven, cabinets, and two sinks will all be properly installed in the kitchen. Each bedroom will contain a king-size bed, clothing cabinets, a chair, a fan, and adequate lighting. There will be proper HVAC systems throughout the mansion, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. There will be a large dining table in the living room, as well as a sofa set and some accent chairs. Additionally, additional side tables are ideal for keeping table lights and artwork. There will also be a shaded car parking space and a seating area. In addition, extras such as CCTV cameras and fire alarms will be installed. Work Break Structure Work breakdown structure refers to the process of breaking down project tasks into smaller chunks so that different teams can work on separate parts of the project, which helps to improve team productivity and project management. Additionally, having a work breakdown structure allows us to finish the project more speedily and efficiently because each subcontractor will be assigned their own tasks and duties. Because each activity is interdependent on the others, it is necessary to create a work breakdown structure for the building project. We must first complete the first task before moving on to the next. Walk tour with clients The above-mentioned work breakdown illustrates the major tasks of the construction project. The first step is to get approval from the city of Vancouver so that we may begin construction, including road closures, noise permits, and other necessary permits. After obtaining the necessary approvals from the city, we will call a digging firm to begin the excavation. The digger will level the ground, and the concrete company will construct the ground base with columns using the appropriate rebars and concrete material for the mansion. The pouring contractor will finish the other two levels after the basement. Moreover, once the concreate work is done, we will contact a plumber contractor to begin work in the basement. They will install pipes for each floor, as well as taps and other plumbing fixtures. After that, once the plumbers have completed their work on the bottom floor, we will hire electricians to do the wiring and electrical work. As seen, after the plumbers have completed one story, the electricians will begin their job. Furthermore, once the electricians have completed their work on the bottom floor, we will contact a dry wall contractor. The pipes and wiring in the wall will be covered with drywall by the drywall installer. At the same time, we’ll notify the painter contractor, who will collaborate with the drywall contractor to paint the drywall after the drywall contractor has completed the floor. Workers from the framing and drywall industries will collaborate with painters and drywall installers. Finally, an interior designer will design the interior, including the bed, table, and kitchen equipment, among other things. After completing all the interior work, we will contact a landscaping company to complete the exterior work. They will excavate for the summing pool and prepare the ground and lawn in the mansion. Finally, the BC inspection team will conduct an inspection. Gantt Chart We also created a Gantt chart to ensure that each work is completed on time. The subordinators will be able to check their task’s start and finish dates using this chart. Furthermore, this will assist us in determining whether the project is on track (Grant, 2021).
