Identify and explain at least three aspects of wu wei (non-doing) that would be
practical in the busy lives of city dwellers, especially those living in the

Wu wei is the act of taking no action against the
natural flow of thing as you mentioned.  An individual ego should
be left out when someone is practicing wu
wei.  Wu wei is the allowing
of all situation to take its natural course without any alterations through
effort.  All city people do live fast paced lives as
you stated.  Another example of going with the flow of nature in a large city
would be walking fast as everyone else will be doing.  I feel it has become
natural for people to walk a certain way in a city like New York.  It will
become natural movement as the mind has been trained to do so.  We should listen
to the voices of nature and the voices of our natural state when practicing
wu wei.  What we cannot do
is make a deliberate attempt to change what we see and feel.  According to
wu wei our actions should be
spontaneous.  Desire should be left out when practicing
wu wei.  I agree,
wu wei might be better
displayed in other countries.  To me American’s are self centered people who
only have one thing on their minds.  Making themselves rich or happy.  Few are
actually willing to let both happen naturally.
