A batch tank will be filled up by Liquid A for 3.5 seconds, then the Mixer will turn on and Liquid B will start filling the tank. After 6.5 seconds Liquid B will stop and the Mixer will stop after it has been on for 11 seconds. When the Mixer is done the batch tank will empty. Cycle Start Rung (1 mark) When the Start PB is pressed momentarily and the High Level Sensor is not activated and the Stop PB is not pressed then the Cycle Start Bit B3:0/0 will turn on and stay on. The Cycle Start Bit will only turn off when Stop PB is pressed or the High Level Sensor is activated. Timers (3 marks) Create three timers to keep track of how much time Liquid A has filled into the tank (A Timer) and Liquid B has filled into the tank (B Timer), and the total amount of time that the Mixer has been on (Mixer Timer). The A Timer will start timing when the Cycle Start Bit turns on, it will time for 3.5 seconds. This timer will be used to control Pump 1 to pump 3.5 seconds of Liquid A into the batch. After Liquid A has finished filling into the batch tank for 3.5 seconds then both the B Timer and Mixer Timer will start timing. The B Timer will time for 6.5 seconds and will be used to control Pump 2 so that Liquid B will be filled into the Batch tank for 6.5 seconds. The Mixer Timer will time for 11 seconds and will be used to control the Mixer to make sure it mixes the liquids for 11 seconds. Pumps and Mixer (4 marks) Pump 1 will pump Liquid A into the batch tank for 3.5 seconds. Pump 2 will pump Liquid B into the batch tank for 6.5 seconds The Mixer will be on for 11 seconds to mix Liquid A and B. When the Mixer is done mixing then Pump 3 will turn on, the Pump 3 will turn off when the Low Level Sensor is not activated because the tank is now empty. Run and Full Lights (2 marks) The Run light will be on when the Pump 1 or Pump 2 are on. The Full Light will be on after Liquid B has finished filling into the batch tank and turns off after the Mixer is done mixing.
