Select a children’s or adolescent author – preferably a personal favorite, one from an Annotated Bibliography book entry, or one you might want to learn more about.  Then, using the Haiku Deck (Links to an external site.) application, create a presentation to share with classmates. Be sure to include biographic information, significant events in the author’s life, how they came to be a writer, some of their publications, etc.  Be sure to include a References slide at the end of the presentation.  The final product should be a balance of graphics / visuals / photos and text.  Creativity is encouraged and appreciated. NOTE: Author selections must be approved by the instructor in the Author Study Selection in Unit 2, as each author may only be selected once.  This assignment is set up as a discussion board to facilitate classroom interaction and feedback. This requirement will facilitate broader knowledge base about a wider variety of authors.
