This added perspective will assist you in furthering your critique of US social welfare policy. Guidelines for Paper Assignment Process To complete this assignment, you will need to conduct research on policy strategies taken by one other country (of your choice) to addresses the same social issue you have already researched (low- income families and nutrition, homelessness, poverty, etc.). For example, if your concept map was specific to homelessness and the McKinney-Vento Homelessness Assistance Act, you should research how one other country has worked to address the issue of homelessness through policy. Sources to Use You should have at least five resources for your paper: o Two need to be from social work journals (i.e. Global Social Policv, Journal of Social Work, and lnternational Social Work). The rest may be from organizations who have published research or from articles you locate online. a It is tempting to use documents found on the internet which are written on your policy, but avoid any which do not have a date attributed to it and/or no author. Guidelines for Presentation Create a presentation that provides an overview of your topic and your findings about the policy in the US and the other country as well as your critique. The policy brief should illustrate the Comparison and Critique sections ofyour paper but also provide background about the policy and issue. You are encouraged to use either PowerPoint or Windows Movie Maker to complete the presentation and should use headings for the slides that directly correlate with sections of your paper.
