1. What is your Name?

.My name is Mario Tropea. i was born February 15 1938

2. Where were you born?

.i was born in the providence of catanzaro italy which is also the providence of Calabria region on italy. 

3. How was living in Italy?

It was a good life. good food, and great family times. i remember going to school there up until the 7th grade. and living up an alley way with cobblestones 

4. How dis your parent feel coming to America?

.they felt it was the best thing they could have done because of the unlimited opputunites and i was able to be successful here.

5. How old were you when you came to America?

i came to america in 1951, at the age of 13 with my mother. to come and meet my father who had been living her since world war 2. 

6. Can you telll me about your family

yes, i have a brother who is 12 years older than me. I have no sisters.

7. Who came to America with you? 

Me and my mother had come together through ellis island. my father had been living her and we came to live with him, to make a life for ourselves. 

8. How was education in America?

.education was very different. not knowing the english language has deterred me a lot but with he passion i had for success, i accomplished my goals. 

9. Where did you do to grade school in the States?

my mother enrolled me in catholic elementary school. No idea how to speak the english language. 

10. Where did you go to High School and did you understand the English language?

Then i was enrolled in South Philadelphia high school to learn how to read and write english. I then went to ST John Neumann high school to continue learning the english language. 

11. When you graduated High School did you decide to further your education?

 I decided to go to a tech school and learn HVAC. because i still was not 100% intone with the english language.

12. When did you get married and have children? Where did you live after getting married? 

I got married when i was 22 years old and had five wonderful children, along with 14 amazing grandchildren. My wife and i lived with my parents for two years, then deciding to live on our own. When settlement was made on our new home, my wife asked the broker if he was hiring and that is when i started working part time in the real-estate business.

 13.  How much time and recitation did you put into your jobs?

i worked many hours with refrigeration and real estate. and after all the hard work and determination, going to school, and getting my license. i am now the owner of 8 different Keller Williams’ in the Phila area.

14.  What would you do different raising your family in Philadelphia?

I would not do anything differ.t Raising my children and grandchildren in philadelphia was an amazing decisions, showing them hard work does indeed pay off.

15.  Did you adapt well living in America? 

I adapted very well to my new life. with hard work and determination and family support, made me become the President of 8 different keller williams real estates in Philadelphia and try-state areas.

The essays you will write this semester will constitute the majority of your grade in this course.  These essays will require you to utilize your textbooks and electronic sources to support a historical argument.  No other sources will be permitted. The essay assignments will be distributed in class and must be completed by the due date.

In this course, you will be required to write your essays using the Chicago Manual of Style method of document formatting and citation.  The Chicago Manual of Style requires you to clearly show the sources you have used to construct your essays.  Your essays must have a title page, bibliography, and footnotes that are correctly formatted to the Chicago Manual of Style. I have included an sample essay formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style here.[img src=”https://ccp.instructure.com/images/preview.png” alt=”Preview the document”>
