Using sites like Blog: AdGoodness and your own research, find examples of both good and bad design elements with respect to how they serve advertising objectives. For each example, provide a link and what you assume the advertising objectives were for each. Do not indicate which you see as the “good” and “bad” example or why, as that will be up to your classmates to determine!

Then, review the examples provided by your classmates and evaluate them based on the objectives provided. Be sure to defend your claims with specific evidence of design elements and principles.

Design is worth a thousand words. But be careful not to convey a lot of information in a small area that results in an information overload. It makes it hard for the by passers to read and hold their attention. It could cause confusion as well if it is not laid out well. “Good creative should engage the audience visually and verbally” (Altstiel, T., & Grow, J. Pg 148). According to designer and author Robin Williams, a good design entail four components; proximity, alignment, repetition, and contrast.
