Interview 5 people within your community. Interviewing a diverse group of people (age, gender, etc.) will make your finding much more interesting. Find out the following information: What aspects of their lives do they find stressful? In what aspects of their lives do they find the most happiness? How has technology impacted their lives from a positive and negative perspective. What would they change about their lives to make them better? From the interviews, consider the following question: Are there common themes among your interviewees? What are they? How is modern living contributing to their happiness or disappointment? Upload your responses here in 2-3 pages and be prepared to share your findings with the class. Interviewee #1: Being is college, scared to create a life plan, losing a family member with whom you had a very close relationship with. Watching a tv show called Outer Banks, going to Disney, Listening to a favorite artist music, and dogs. Positive: find funny and entertaining videos on the internet. Negative: Prevents her from seeing and exploring the outside world Dropping out of college Interviewee #2: Working, not looking good and pretty enough for boys, feeling of not being good enough for what they do, the notion that they think they are useless if they can’t help someone, school, they don’t fee the need to dress to pretty, but they still do. Text boys with good physique, friends, dogs and music Positive: technology makes it easier to contact friends and family, having a good support system. Negative: feeling like whole life revolves around the use technology. Quit Job, lose weight, plastic surgery, Win the lottery, stay and complete school. Interviewee #3: Doing online classes and having to try so hard to pay attention, failing a course and having to find a way to explain to parents why and how they failed. Being with family and friends, having good grades, getting paid, shopping, and food Positives: help connect with people that are far, helps entertain and pass time when bored, and shopping. Negative: rely on technology to do a lot of tasks, relies on technology to solve problems, relies on it for distraction Not being bothered while listening to music, Interviewee #4: Trying to achieve successful, balance life with social life, make sure call family, turn in assignments on time. Deciding where to go after graduation. Striving for something that give meanings, producing happiness in other people. Pursuing meaning. Positive: allows to continue class despite the pandemic, contact people, negative: ruined in person communication Have financial, personal deep relationships. Dating sites/ apps. Create misconception on what relationships should be.
