discussing your plan. Rather than numbering the pages consecutively from start
to finish (page 1, 2, 3, etc.), a better method is to number pages by section
and page. Thus your Executive Summary would be numbered 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, etc.;
the next section 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, etc.; the next section 3-1, 3-2, 3-3, etc.; and
so on. This pagination method enables you to update or make changes in one
section without having to reprint the entire plan. Of course, if you change the
order of sections to tailor your plan for specific readers, you have to
renumber the plan.
