Question: During this topic, you will compile a leadership portfolio that encapsulates key assignments that helped shape you as a leader. How will this portfolio reflect your vision as a leader? How does it demonstrate your growth throughout the program?

Answer: Throughout my leadership portfolio, I demonstrate several areas of growth and awareness. For example, I find myself following the transformational leadership model because it encompasses several traits of leadership that are necessary to be a successful leader. Transformational leaders are ethical and influence followers by having morals, integrity, emotional intelligence; by being confident, supportive, inspiring, and motivative. Transformational leaders communicate well and set clear goals, so followers understand expectations and the vision. Transformational leaders lead by example. They are excited about the vision which is inclusive of diverse followers (Northouse, 2019). Additionally, transformation leaders tend to listen to followers and support their concerns. This makes leaders mindful of specific abilities that each follow brings to the workplace. When leaders demonstrate individualized attention, they assist followers in developing specific skills. Additionally, transformational leadership has perceptive attraction (Northouse, 2019).
