Writing questions (and answers) to review content is a helpful study strategy, so this is what you will do for this week’s Module 3 Post-Test Self-Test. Instructions: Review closely and carefully the assigned Reading: Failures of Awareness: The Case of Inattentional Blindness and the video demonstration. Then, write 10 quiz questions that review the reading and video, and submit them to this Assignment Page. Five of your questions should be multiple-choice, and five should be short-answer written-response questions. At least eight questions should be about the reading; no more than two questions should be about the video. For multiple-choice questions, you must provide 3 answer options and mark which one is correct. For short-answer written-response questions, your written answers should be correct and 2-3 complete sentences. Do not steal questions from the internet or from the discussion questions at the end of the reading. The assignment is to write your own questions, so if you copy questions from another source, then you will earn an automatic zero on this assignment. How you will be graded: You will be graded (out of 100%) based on the quality (i.e. appropriateness, thoughtfulness, and originality) of your questions and the quality and accuracy of your answers. Example of higher-quality question: What is one benefit of selective attention? What is one potential negative consequence of selective attention? This question would earn an A grade. It is thoughtful and original. To answer requires some thinking. Example of lower-quality question: What is the definition of dichotic listening? This question would earn a C grade. It is not thoughtful and not original. To answer requires little to no thinking as the answer can be copied from the list of definitions.
